NATURAL HOME DESIGN ANOTHER WAY TO LIVE. NATURAL HOME DESIGN was born out of a deep personal feeling that there must be ‘another way to live in the world’. This quest has led to the formation of a small collaborative design studio that is dedicated to designing and implementing inspired natural living environments in unity and honor with the Earth. SO WHAT DO WE DO? We work with pre-existing homes and buildings to create healthy, imaginative, and deeply satisfying living environments that support who you are and how you want to live in the world in balance and harmony with Earth. Whether it is the redesign of your home or office, the creation of a new kitchen, the interior design or furnishing of your home, the design of a retail space or office—or some entirely new and original concept for living—we are interested in using renewable and sustainable materials while fostering strong local connections. WHO ARE WE? Rob Austin-Murphy is the founding member of NATURAL HOME DESIGN who after years of practicing architecture and interior design in a traditional way sensed a growing personal need to re-examine his practice. This has led to the formation of NATURAL HOME DESIGN with the intention to develop a holistic and collaborative approach to the design and creation of the spaces that we live and work in. We work with other designers, artists, craftspeople, builders, and artisans to achieve your project goals. We rely on our extensive design backgrounds to focus our approach but we always invite nature to inspire us and guide us on each project. OUR PASSION. To explore what it means to ‘live naturally and responsibly in the world’? This is the question that we as designers and fellow travelers on this planet ask ourselves each day and the question that we address in each and every design. We fully understand the challenge of this question and know that this requires an ongoing exploration of what it means to be human and what it is to live naturally in the world? We also acknowledge that there are potentially as many answers to this question as there are people to ask the question. This truly excites and inspires us! WHO ARE YOU?
